Such a cute little place! Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Love that I can order a book online from the county library system and pick it up locally. Thanks, Karen!

I'm walking to Seattle for a speaking engagement. I'm filming my journey, Walking Through The Pain...I'm doing this walk because I refuse to allow Fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis and heel spurs to keep me stuck in bed. I stopped here to charge my electronics and work on my journal and social media posts. Tho I haven't been able to do any video editing because I don't have earphones. So...I've kept myself busy with everything but...AND keeping Quiet because I'm a grown man who knows how to act in a library. But...after being here for 2 hours already. Out of nowhere, while scrolling my FB page on my phone and silently looking at the vids n reading the posts... The male librarian felt the need to approach me n tell me to put in my headphones if I'm watching videos....like I'm some kid...While he & some locals are All loud discussing their lives...and all loud in their book searches that it's been a little hard for Me to concentrate. Yet...I said nothing. Maybe I should have went "SHHHHHH!" Hypocrite much? I have been quiet the Entire time I've been here so far...so was it my backpack? Or maybe my dusty jacket. I won't be stopping here if I ever come through again.

Do you mean local television broadcasts? The Rockaway Library offers free Wi-Fi, so you can sometimes watch a certain TV program by going to that network's website to see what they have available. The Rockaway library does not have a cable subscription or television for live tv watching. We offer two different free video streaming services, Kanopy for independent and foreign cinema, and other offerings via Hoopla. They would all be nation wide movies and shows, nothing from the local news. I hope that helps!
Yes, the library sells used books at low prices
