This is one of the best new spots in Columbia if you have young kids. Between the splash pad, the nearby ice cream (Charmery), the wide-open field, and the frequent events (music, kid stuff, etc), it's a great place to spend an hour or two without spending much if any money. Do be aware that on a hot day, there isn't much shade, but toward the evening that's less of a problem. I look forward to all the upcoming restaurants opening as well; it's already quite convenient to have 3 right there for takeout.

Right now, yes there are portable restrooms due to the events at Merriweather PP. Otherwise, you can use restrooms at nearby restaurants but, I am not sure if you have to purchase something. I hope this helps.
Not really. The major components of the park are a large open fake grass space and a green space with a splash pad nearby. There are sidewalks surrounding both of these areas, but they would be somewhat bumpy for roller skates.
Online. It gets crowded so you may be turned away otherwise.
