My first time here. I don't live nearby but would be willing to drive from the westside to go back. I always test a new ramen place by trying the Tonkatsu and it did not disappoint. I asked for firm noodles and the broth was creamy but super flavorful just like the name of the restaurant. Perfect egg, well marinated pork belly chashu. I also tried their signature curry tonk broth and it was a perfect mix of Japanese curry and pork bone broth. I wanna go back to either build my own ramen (4-6pm only) and try various Japanese apps. Apparently the only japanese curry restaurant in Jax so try the curry! You won't be disappointed. Dinner served only. Update: Shoyu Ramen is about as good as Karai ramen. I opted to pay extra for curly noodles. Also tried the special karaage veggies. They were excellent like fritters, light and crisp with an awesome curry dipping sauce.
