The moment you walk in, the 5 Star experience begins. The service, food and ambiance are a literal feast for your senses. All tables are preset with white tablecloths, bread plates, rolled cloth napkins that contain a full set of flatware, spotless wine glasses and real flickering oil lights. The ceiling, floor and walls below the chair rail, are very dark which makes a lovely backdrop for the tables. The artwork reinforces their Farm To Table menu and they also have divine seafood options. We were a party of 2 and wanted to meet at 4:00, but I still made a reservation. They accept reservations through Open Table and I strongly recommend making one because they got very busy. You can also add notes about special occasions etc.. and they do read them because they gave my friend happy birthday wishes. Their training program is top notch. Tony knew everything about the menu, including the ingredients to their signature cocktails, which helped me decide to order the Cucumber-Lime Martini. They have a full bar and my friend ordered a French 75, which was not on the menu. Tony knew right away to ask if she wanted the classic with gin or with cognac! I forewarned Tony that we would be there awhile and he was very gracious about not rushing the turn of our table. As a side note to diners that sit, talk and make the most of their experience, please tip generously. had the bread service, appetizers and then for our dinner, more apps, salads and dessert. Tony timed out the flow of the food perfectly. He kept checking on us without being intrusive. When I excused myself from the table for a moment, he came over and refolded my napkin! “Food” isn’t an adequate word for what they serve. “Delicious Art” would be more appropriate. Everything is carefully created and plated with flair. Everything we had was superb, so I’ll just list the items and you can view the pictures. We had the Pamlico Walnut Shrimp, Creamy Truffle Lobster Dip, Lobster Bisque, the Crispy Cauliflower Caesar Salad and added a fully dressed Lobster Tail that was seasoned and cooked so well, I didn’t even miss the melted butter. We topped it all off with a piece of Chocolate Mousse Cake. I also ordered the Bistro Burger and Potato Salad to go, for my husband. He said it was fantastic even reheated. They have a lovely patio area between the buildings so it’s a little secluded and off the street so it’s quiet. Take the time to celebrate your life and make a reservation at The Prescott.

Let's start with the warm and inviting ambiance. The soft flicker of the candle atop a small dark wood board. The white linen table drapery. The fresh warm bread served with chive butter and delicious seasoned olive oil . Don't even get me started on the entrée. The lemon caper grouper was sensual. 5/5 would eat here again. 5/5 would recommend.

By far one of the best restaurants me and my husband have eaten at. The chef really knows his stuff and really exceeded our expectations. We both had the grouper sandwich which was a big piece of fish. My husband had the French onion soup and I had the corn chowder which both were excellent. We are both from Florida so we know good seafood and to us this was even better. Our waitress was amazing (Kaylee) and the service was excellent. We are definitely making this our new go to for lunches and look forward to going for dinner.

Sometimes when you rely on reviews and ratings in selection of a new dining venue, you have a small trepidation before the first visit. After reading more than one positive review on "The Prescott" in Kernersville and their Farm to Table theme, the enticement overshadowed the doubt. The new 840 Loop to I-40 West even substantiated that decision with the drive almost all interstate and the time barely more than the "GSO 15 minutes to anywhere." Upon arrival to the location, our 2 couples were initially at ease seeing the unique breezeway between two buildings where the door entrance beckoned the patron to explore what the chef discovered from local farmers to be best delectable offerings. Entering to the maitre'd stand, the room and adjacent areas exuded an ambience of quiet elegance and pleasant ambiance. We all smiled at what we hoped was a new discovery. Seated in one of the side areas, we were pleased with the graceful decor along with a pleasant view of the breezeway where outdoor diners were immersed in their group enjoying. Our server, Anthony, promptly addressed our libation needs as we queried his background, finding he was originally from New Orleans, was attending classes in study of winemaking and used The Prescott to "pay the bills." Sharing the Walnut Shrimp appetizer at his suggestion was a home run. We all loved it. The home made bread from a local bakery was tasty. Special of the evening was a Sea Bass with rice and vegetables, a hit, perfect temperature and light. From the menu the Grouper was also cooked to perfection with light crust and tender. And the seafood with risotto was savored by our other attendee. When the tab arrived, a $2.00 charge was added twice to our portion for a salad split and entree split because, at our senior status, we eat less and share a plate. I had asked Anthony to not split the plate because my wife consumes 34%of the entree and me almost all the remainder. But he split them anyway and added a fee for the extra plate. I asked it be removed from the check due from my request to not split. He said he would talk to the manager. The lady GM came to our table and we asked about her status and the history of the restaurant. The site was previously a Bistro and came to new owners with a change in name and style. She made the check adjustment and asked we return. I added the deducted $4.00 plus to the gratuity total. You see, it was not the dollars but the principle. There was a $2.50 extra charge for olives in my martini also, a minor irritant. Nothing said, even though these out-of-the-ordinary added fees can be a downer sometimes. The location, atmosphere, excellent service and menu offerings overshadowed these indiscretions not prevalent at most quality dining establishments. All of us vowed to return and recommend to friends. "The Prescott" is now on our Top List.
