The chili and cornbread were excellent for a cold winter day. It's an eclectic little place, but it's very clean and neat, and I enjoyed the fact it's actually an old bank. The lady who served my food was super sweet. I really enjoyed my lunch there.

Best Rueben Sandwich I've had. Such a great home cooking place to eat at in Erwin. This café is inside the 1928 Bank of Erwin. Just gorgeous inside and out. AND she serves homemade potato salad. That is hard to find in Erwin. I highly recommend this charming café to everyone.

One of the best restaurants I have ever found. While on a business trip we stumbled in and discovered this hidden treasure. Best chicken salad sandwich you will ever eat. Soup is out of this world. Service is awesome.

Step back in time when you walk into this cafe! The building was built in 1903, with the thick walls of the era. Although it was hot and muggy outside, it’s cool as a cucumber inside. Enjoy the Alpine Village model train in the entry and sip on a tall glass of iced tea while you take in the history of the building. And don’t forget your piece of triple layer chocolate cake! Delicious food at a reasonable price. I’ll be going back!

I agree with you, Brenda. The cafe is very clean and very quaint. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. And the food was delicious!!!
Choo choo is not a coffee shop. It is a restaurant open for lunch and sometimes dinner. They have a wonderful Sunday lunch! They do have different hours at times, as the restaurant is owned and ran by one lady. When it is open, it's worth going!
