Family First receives federal funding based on its promise to serve vulnerable patients; instead, it is a toilet with burned-out, incompetent, lazy, inept physicians who cannot provide the bare minimum in quality care like Dr. Christian Bengtson who did not prepare and review for the patient encounter, dismissed the patient’s concerns, and had the worst bedside manners. The New York Times and the Washington Post covered "medical gaslighting" of awful physicians like Dr. Christian Bengtson who demean and dismiss the complaints of women, quoting "We know that women, and especially women of color, are often diagnosed and treated differently by doctors than men are, even when they have the same health conditions.” What is worse is that his supervisor Dr. Hetal Patel does not take complaints of patient safety seriously. Since she is in denial and is the unfortunate position of leadership, there’s no chance of improvement at Family First. HRSA should stop funding Family First. It is an embarrassment to the attending physicians who did not teach compassion to Dr. Patel and Dr. Bengtson. The scheduling staff will try to get you the earliest appointment with a PA without telling you that you are being scheduled with a PA. There are not enough physicians at Family First to serve patients. As the American Medical Association stated "Amid doctor shortage, NPs and PAs seemed like a fix. Data’s in: Nope." Nonetheless, the embarrassing shamelessness of Dr. Patel and Dr. Bengtson makes any PA seem like a more skilled, and compassionate clinician. Dr. Patel defended the unprofessional conduct of Dr. Bengtson of dismissing the patient's chief complaint and poor, pushy, intimidating style of communication as "Dr. Bengtson is a competent and caring provider and I have known him for many years." and forgetting she is his boss and of course, he will act in a different way to a boss who controls his employment, rather than a patient. Dr. Hetal Patel tolerates medical gaslighting. Shame. "We are writing to inform you that effective 4/27/2022 we will no longer be able to provide you care at Family First Health. Quality medical care is rooted in positive communication between a provider and their patient" wrote Elizabeth Otero of Family First. Without notifying the patient, Family First cancelled all appointments and sent messages to the patient after closing access to the online patient portal. Dr. Bengtson failed to provide positive communication, nor quality medical care. I reported his unprofessional conduct to Hetal Patel, MD who also tolerated his rude, unprofessional conduct. Dr. Bengtson failed to review prior workups and called the patient's concerns as "delusional." This is NOT positive communication. I need to request my medical records and I also need the referral slips since Family First already charged my insurance for unprofessional conduct and abuse of patients. Family First would much prefer for patients to report unprofessional conduct to the PA Dept of State which has an online form for abusive doctors. Family First does not care about the underserved or patients. Blame the incompetent CMO Dr. Asceline Go. The Pennsylvania Dept of State has an online form to report these doctors whose licenses should be revoked.

Place is a joke They are my health provider but every time I try to make appointment for myself they keep pushing me off to a urgent care then what’s the point of having you as my provider I don’t get it so I’ll be looking for a new provider for me and my daughter

I tried calling for dental help and the woman who answered the phone wasn’t very friendly. Could do better at offering services.

What is wrong with this place it use to be one of the best dental offices now you go in and they don't do their job..time to move on to another office.

Yes, I believe they do, but you would have to contact their dental department. Everyone there is really helpful... And they're located on the first floor
U call the phone number and they have many options
No. They have other options available if you don't have insurance.
I'm not quite sure how they handle walk-ins ... you may want to call.
I believe they do.
Family First Health provides general dental care. Braces are considered a specialty, so you'll be referred to an orthodontist after a full check up. Braces are best suited for patients who are free of baby teeth and cavities.
