First and foremost I personally would like to apologize for ANY Police Officer that may have treated or spoken to you rudely. You are correct. Not ALL 35th District Police are rude and they are supposed to keep peace and order in the community. I have been an Officer for 25 years and most 35th District Police Officers are kind and caring. Most Officers speak to citizens kindly and do there best to Protect and Serve the communities the police. Remember Police Officers are hired from everyday society among us. Like any other profession ie; Politician, Banker, Teacher, Lawyer, Doctor, Nurse, there are going to be a few bad apples among the bunch. It's up to the citizens of this City to report the bad apples when there is cause, so they can be removed. The next time you see a Policeman or Policewoman, approach them and tell them, you appreciate there service. This will initiate a positive interaction with the police and I am 100% sure the Officer will Thank You kindly.
For those that are experiencing this in 2022, you will have to take the investigation into your own hands. Collect as much as proof ie. Discarded gloves, paper towels. It’s all you got if no one ever shows up. Put on gloves, use zip lock bags from box, label them with the date and crime that occurred. Possibly store in freezer if you collected wet, fresh DNA. This helps for victims who are repeatedly attacked by repeated offenders. I hope Shaakira is still with us, unfortunately theses situations aren’t handled the best way

you can call the number listed on Google but they are not very helpful you might as well figure it out yourself
they don't even respond to hit and run accidents and get pretty moody if you call them. so i honestly doubt they investigate any crime especially not scams
