Very quiet place. There is no drinking water or showers but they really keep it clean and the ranger comes every day. Right along the river.

Love it. Will be here for a minute. Basic as it gets buuuut it's by the river with a boat ramp. QUIET. And if you GO there are GYMS and 2Stops. So there's that.

+1 star for your average campground amenities, +1 star for location, +1 for staying open during the winter months, +1 star for not charging an excessive daily rate, and +1 for professional park rangers. The Johnson County rangers have been Iowa nice and extremely professional. They don't normally provide snow removal at this location but they were nice enough to come through with a plow after a snow storm. That allowed us to exit the park with ease. Much appreciated!

cool little nitch camping area just minutes off the hwy. yuppies useally have the place sewed up all summer so prepay for a spot on tuesday if you wanna camp on friday. bathrooms are kept clean & dont smell like most pit bathrooms. only advice id give is keep a closer eye on creep-o's that drift in at night and hide down in the tent area til morning then leave. happens way to oftenπŸ˜•

Casey's. It's spendy though. Hy Vee. Might at the Waterfront location. They definitely do at the North Dodge location. Waterfront location is much closer. It might be at their little gas station right next door. It might be cheaper. Casey's in Hills. When you are are the only gig in town. Prices go up.
