McDowell's was okay, but I don't plan to go again.  The place was clean, the seating was spacious, and the staff was kind.  I highly value all of those things.  The food just wasn't that good.

It was our first time trying McDowell Local, and I have only positive things to say! Great food, served quickly and exactly as ordered. I had the Patty Melt and my husband The Local burger. I will absolutely be back!

I got the Woodstock (veggie) pizza, and it was very veggie-forward, which I liked! I sprinkled some parm cheese on it, and I quite enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great. The servers were nice and helpful. Cool, local place. I would for sure go back. Prices seemed fair. Plenty of parking around the corner. Give it a shot if you like local eats!

The food was great and the service was nice and friendly. I got "The Local" burger, and it was pretty good. Plenty of fries with it too! They get a lot of their stuff from local shops and farms so a lot of what you eat was grown nearby, giving it a good freshness to it. The one knock on it was that the service was a little slow, as the waiteress didn't check on me much till near the end of my visit. But, I'm not one to pass judgement too quick based on one visit, so I'm willing to give it a pass for the most part. Would go again.

Our staff wear masks and we require masks for entry and for movement around the restaurant. We use health department recommended and approved sanitizers for surface cleaning and for wiping down our menus, etc. We are limited in capacity (50%) per NC state mandates as permitted by an executive order. We offer curbside service for individuals who choose not to dine in and prefer ordering their food to go (without the inconvenience of leaving their vehicle).
