Had a fabulous experience here after trying 2 other "Children's dentists". We had very poor outcomes at a clinic in Crystal lake and another in Huntley. At both of those businesses, we left defeated and deflated. We were seeing a trend of frustrated and opinionated Dentists that were commenting on our parenting styles etc. Our visit here at Kids first was completely different! I was impressed with the open floor plan and very kind dentist/owner. We had been stressing about a cavity for months from the prior clinics. The first thing he said to me was "this thing is tiny and its a baby tooth." If he keeps it clean, it won't be a problem before this tooth falls out naturally anyway. There is no need to have a cavity filling procedure done! Knowing that he could've easily given me the same suggestion as teh two previous dentists, but chose to be open and honest with us made for an amazing experience. This was the best clinic we have experienced and will be recommending them to all who ask our advice!

I highly recommend Kids First - it’s a first-rate dental practice that prioritizes building relationships and creating a nurturing environment for children. My son and daughter love coming to the dentist because everyone is warm, friendly, and they truly make it a fun experience. While the entire team is exceptional, we always request an appointment with Dr. Karsten and the hygienist, Tiffany, because she remembers all the little things about my son that make him feel so comfortable and he is always excited to see her. We are new to the areas and to Kids First and were nervous leaving our previous dentist, but had a great experience. The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly when we entered and the office is very bright, clean, and welcoming. Dr. Gil was awesome and my kids 5 and 7 enjoyed their experience. I cannot begin to explain how nervous I was for my daughter’s first dentist appointment. She is typically very good for doctors appointments, but the dentist is a different ball game. The team here is amazing. Genessis went step by step with my daughter, showing her everything, letting her feel the tools before starting to clean her teeth just to make sure she was comfortable. Dr. Matt was kind and thorough and demonstrated a more efficient way to floss and brush her teeth. Everyone was wonderful. My daughter left with a big freshly polished smile on her face.
