Though sparse selection we found a very nice tree and the price was very reasonable. My issue is they only take cash or check. Having only brought a card I was directed to a gas station ATM about 5 miles away. There is no communication of this on their web site or when you enter. So it was both embarrassing and inconvenient.

You get a far better experience and value at other Tree Farms nearby (Rum River, Pinestead, J&M). The Stacy farm sends you into near empty fields to select from the scraps that are left after they've clear cut the field, the workers stay in their truck until you go knock on their window and ask for help. The other 'activities' and hot cider are an after thought and just in a gravel parking lot.

The sad fact is they once had a wide variety of trees of all sizes, but there is nothing left, unless you are looking for something under 5 feet. They get an extra star because the precut we ended up buying there was reasonable. But buying precuts was not the reason we go there...and as a family we are sad to see our time with this tree farm end, as it became our tradition. What a shame. I hope in several years time when their trees are fully grown that they can return to what kept bringing us there all these years.

We've been going here for 10+ years but were very disappointed this year. We spent 2+hrs last year trying to find a decent 8ft tree to cut. We went this year and found fields with no trees or trees in the 4-6ft range. I'm not sure what happened but it seems that they forgot to plant replacements 5 years ago. We really wanted to keep the tradition but found that we needed to go elsewhere this year. Maybe we'll be back in 5 years once you have more trees.
