Positive: Hidden Meadow and Barn as a venue location is a beautiful space with a great assortment of amenities. They are an ideal location having a combined ceremony and reception for a wedding. There is a cute farmhouse on site that is available to rent for the wedding party and some gorgeous cabins nearby are also available through a separate company. The staff is friendly and provides detailed information and timely feedback on questions. Negative: Our wedding was set for the Fall of 2020 which unfortunately meant we were making final arrangements during the start of the pandemic. The final venue payments had been made in full so we were fully invested with HM&B. We called and requested a refund of the final payment (not the deposit) and received a verbal confirmation that they would issue a partial refund. Later they reneged on the verbal agreement. The takeaway being don't trust their verbal agreements, always get it in writing first. Unfortunately the venue does not support their customers in issuing refunds in any amount and will hold you to the letter of the contract despite extreme circumstances. They will allow customers to reschedule their date but there is no guarantee the new date will be outside the pandemic timeline and there may be an additional charge based on the day you choose. If you decide to choose this venue then I strongly encourage getting wedding insurance to protect yourself if something like this happens to you. Summary: Ultimately the venue is beautiful, the staff are professional and there are great options for places to stay in the area. The nearby town of Pepin, WI has a lot to offer from cute bed and breakfasts, to romantic sailing cruises across Lake Pepin. Be aware that they are not the place to go above and beyond for you during extreme circumstances so plan accordingly and get wedding insurance to protect yourself. This is a great plan anyways since you never know what can happen on your wedding day!

Such a beautiful spot for a wedding!!! We had the most fun!!!! Very helpful staff. We stayed in the cabins, very comfortable and convenient!!!

Overall it's a great venue with beautiful location and great staff. However you got to have more than two toilet stalls for each gender. Not appropriate for larger weddings. Especially for females, the line gets backed up all the way into the reception area.... 😔

We went to good friend's wedding here and it was awesome. The venue is very cool and what a great location. The outdoor pavilion is perfect for rain or shine and offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The grooms room was excellent complete with AC and fridge which was key for the summer wedding. The other buildings next to the pavilion also tie it all together, like the covered catering area and the nice restrooms. All in all it's a great spot and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a wedding venue.
