A request for information was emailed and I received an extremely thorough and detailed response, including many resources for more information. Very helpful.

The staff at the Morris County Historical Society was most helpful. I contacted the Society through its website and asked about material they might have regarding two of my ancestors who lived in Morris County in the 1700's. They responded the next day with some information and guidance on where I might look further. They were very responsive and thorough. I very much appreciate their help. Don Truslow Charlotte, NC

I spoke with Erin at Acorn Hall and sent a detailed list of ancestors who lived in Morristown and Morris County. She did an amazing job researching these individuals in their extensive archives and found quite a bit of information that I hadn't found elsewhere online. She also gave me further resources to look into that would possibly relate to my ancestors. Great job! I am so impressed and thankful!

Deed histories online in County Clerk’s office...each deed list the prior owner, so your daughter can start with the folks from whom she bought the place and backtrack. http://mcclerksng.co.morris.nj.us/publicsearch/ Looks like Marie Foote, owner/developer of Spring Brook Estates, deeded property to first owner in 1926 (though, yes, Tax Board lists 1920 as construction date). "The Homestead" in 1914 was occupied by Mrs. Byron Sherman (widow), sister of Frederick Burnham, who listed it as her address in the Society of Colonial Dames directory. The Burnhams had taken over "the old Condict homestead", through their mother Marcia Condict Burnham. The property is at Sussex Tpk and Mills Street, Morristown. See Ridgewood Park area in this 1887 atlas page. https://cdm16100.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p15387coll6/id/6/rec/5
Was closed in August while public bathroom was made ADA-friendly, now open per usual: Wed & Thurs, 11-4 and Sunday, 1-4PM.
Built in 1853 for Dr John Peter Schermerhorn (builder Ashbel Bruen, Madison NJ) as a home for his family (wife Louise and two daughters). Occupied until 1971, when given to the Morris County Historical Society, the house still retains most of its original furnishings. Come visit.
