This man was very kind at first. I appreciated the time he gave me on the phone to talk about his credentials. Just before our first meeting I called to confirm. I thought it strange that he only excepts cash or money order. With this info I told him that I needed to pay half of our agreed upon price at the beginning of our first meeting and half at the second. This did not sit well with Mr Johnson. He immediately lectured me on, "this is not how the industry works". I tried to inform him that I meant no harm and that the only reservation that I had is, nothing we said is in black and white, and we are entering a gentle-mans agreement. He then continues to lecture me on his credentials and his time being too valuable. I thought 175 dollars was plenty to start my services. He also went on to state "I have lost all interesting in helping you". That was totally uncalled for considering he was receiving no disrespectful tone or language from me (THE COSTUMER). I have been in the customer service business for over 10 years and I have never talked to anyone like that. When one of my customers say they want to split a bill I never had a problem, but I guess I'm the only person on the planet that does that. I wish everyone the best possible day thank you for reading.

If you need a resume built or redone, Robert is the person to work with. I shared my resume with him and he jokingly wanted to burn it. When he was done redoing my resume I could not believe what i was looking at. But, I sent it out to 27 companies. I received a response from 24 that wanted to have a conversation with me including some that I had previously sent my old resume too. I ended up with 11 job offers. He knows his stuff.

There are many paths to becoming an authentic job coach. The career counseling and job coaching career field is unregulated by state or federal law. Basically, anyone who wants to call themselves a coach or résumé writer can print business cards and put up an Internet Website advertising themselves as "professionals." Personal research of dozens of Websites advertising résumé help revealed that the majority of those people are single moms with a high school education working out of their homes, or retired people with a computer at home looking to earn extra money. None of these people are "professional" by any stretch of the imagination. It's definitely a "Buyer Beware" situation. At a minimum, an educational background in counseling, maturity and genuine compassion are requisite.
