I’m sorry we gave this place our $23 for 2 flights. As we finished up our flights outside as their only guests remaining on a late Tuesday afternoon we discussed which bottles to buy. We headed for the front door excited to take some wine home with us to enjoy with friends and family. I pushed down on the handle to open the door and it was locked. I look at my watch only to discover is was 5:31!!!!. A woman came and cracked the door to grab the flight paddles. Then refused to sell us any bottles as they CLOSE at 530. They gave us NO notice, never came out to see how we were doing, or to ask if we cared to purchase anything before they closed down. What a horrible experience. Clearly this place has an over inflated sense of self worth and I have a hard time remembering a past experience of being so directly insulted by an establishment. I simply do not have words to describe how low you have to be to insult people like this place did us. This winery should be ashamed of their behavior, and may as well just shut down permanently if this is their attitude toward paying customers.

Wonderful winery. Beautifully renovated 1868 brewery, now a winery. Fun and creative gifts. During the summer months they have live music on the outside patio. Luv the wines - personal favorites include gewurztraminer, sassy sangria, and naughty girl.

One of the best winery's in Wisconsin. Very good wine wonderful staff its very nice when people remember you even if its been a while since your last visit. They also have a great family plan that can save you money and gets you more wine several times a year.

Decided to come check this place out while visiting some friends in Door County. We heard a lot of good things and stopped by today. It’s a very cool place with a lot of different options. I really liked the Mourvèdre in my tasting and decided to get a bottle of that. Heidi was very patient and explained everything to us. She made our visit very pleasant and enjoyable.

Your Crimson Royal wine is fantastic! I was just wondering is your Niagra White best served chilled or at room tempted?

Where can I buy satin red in Glendale Arizona?

Good morning Marilee! I am the president of von Stiehl winery - thanks for the question! We don't have our Satin Red available local in Glendale - however, you can always buy our wines online at www.vonstiehl.com and have it sent directly to your home! Depending on the weather - we normally ship all orders within a few days! We only have distribution in supermarkets, wine stores, liquor stores, restaurants and other stores that carry wines in the Wisconsin area - and in a few areas in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Hope that helps and look forward to seeing you bring our Satin Red home and exploring our many wines that we make right here at our winery! Wine cheers! Randy von Stiehl Winery

is there a fee for wine tasting?

Carter-Lori Arndt | Apr 19, 2021

Due to the pandemic, we have had to make adjustments to our wine tastings. At this time we offer a $6 tasting that included 8 samples of wines and ciders. Lots of customers have been enjoying this experience much more because they are trying wines they normally might not have and finding new favorites. If you enjoy red wines, we suggest partaking in our seated tastings. They are $20 per person but include a more private tasting with our staff. The wines you can enjoy during the seated tasting are also paired with small bites. We hope you can stop in for a tasting soon!

Are dogs allowed?

Rachel Davis | Apr 19, 2020

We’re happy to allow dogs on the grounds, but ask that only assist dogs come inside. There’s lots of grass to roll around in, and a garden hose outside if anyone gets thirsty... the dogs, that is. Hopefully the owners will want wine ;)
