Parking was a little tough to find. The front entrance entrance was also a little tough to find. All the artifacts were tough to find too because of the poor lighting. I had to use my flashlight on my cellphone to see any of the colors on the porcelain pieces and bronze statues in the hallways. Great pieces, well kept. Clean museum. Just can't see the beauty easily. Or get to it.

Beautiful museum with a lot of pieces. Would have given 4 starts but the lighting was very dim inside, some of the pieces were hard to see and did not show their true colors had they been displayed with good lighting. The upstairs was closed as well and would have liked to see more of the space. The lady in the gift shop was very nice, informative, and a pleasure to talk to.

Couldn’t even get in the building to enjoy it because a volunteer ran out to yell at us for parallel parking and getting too close to her car.

A neat step unto the beast with some amazing architecture, park, and other items of the past. Self guided audio tour available on your phone.

Thanks for your question. The Chiselers are a separate organization from the Museum. The sale is March 16th this year. You can find all the details on The Chiseler's website: http://thechiselersinc.com/.
You can park in a car park on the other side of the building for free, and there are some parking spaces out front too.
Thank you for sharing information about Jesse Dunne. We would be interested in a copy of any material that relates to the Tampa Bay Hotel and his work here. Might you have any pictures that show him at work or on the property? Do you know what years he was here? The hotel opened in 1891 and closed operations in 1932. Unfortunately, we only have a few pictures of the exterior of the hotel Power Plant and the building no longer exists. You’re welcome to come and visit the Museum and the University of Tampa campus. The Southard Family building now occupies the site where the Power Plant was located.
Pets are not allowed in the Museum, however, you can take your dog through Plant Park outside.
No, it's a historic home. All museum displays are inside. While Mr. Plant was a railroad man, there are not railroad engines as part of the museum.
1 hr..is ok...
I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with Willy Wonka.
Sunday parking is much easier as school is not in session. We found Sunday to be ok
