I insured a package for 300 bucks it was a vintage Tiffiny style Stainglass lamp. It was completely destroyed in transit. After I talk to them about filing a claim they told me I have to prove that it was worth that, find another one somewhere else that can be used as comparison and shipping is not included in that. so if I find one in the Midwest to replace it with I have to eat the shipping cost. the lady was very callous about it and rude I will never ever use the post office for shipping anything other than a flat envelope again. They do not care they will destroy your property. And the lady that works there needs some training.

Yes there's a form you fill out from the postmaster it tells them what day you want to start it and what day you want it stopped then you can either pick it up or have them delivered to your house
