This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had yet. Dr. Riggio’s demeanor was careless and he seemed to be bothered by the fact that my cardiologist referred me to him for help. He beraided me on how I’m too young and too healthy to be experiencing my symptoms. He said only people with severe autoimmune disorders experience this (I have Hashimotos). As I’m crying, he leaves the room and says from the hallway “come back in a month or two or don’t!” I left the office crying and feeling hopeless. This is not how a doctor should treat their patients. Just because you can't see my symptoms at the moment does not mean they are not real. If you can’t help me, that’s completely fine. However, there is no need to be unkind. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR HELP WITH POTS SYMPTOMS OR CARDIAC RELATED SYMPTOMS DUE TO AN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE.
