Went a few months but found them more focus on how people feel internally rather than Jesus’s teachings (God made Adam and Eve and gave them marriage). Genesis 1:27 and Genesis 2:24. These versus made certain people super uncomfortable because it invalidate certain mental health issues to folks belonging to the alphabet soup (LGBTAI?!&@$>£+). They are a struggling church with a lot of internal politics trying to stay afloat so they stopped interpreting the Bible through a *complete* context in order to cater toward certain members political views. They only quote New Testament verses that don’t invalidate their political viewpoint. This is why I left at least…

My partner and I were looking for an inclusive church and this is it! We love this church. Father Sam truly preaches God's love and creates a loving and inclusive atmosphere. Father Sam instills that God loves ALL (black, white, brown, trans, gay, etc). No exceptions. This church is the epitome of family where everyone is welcome. I've never been to a church where my partner and I have felt so welcome and embraced by all. Very LGBT friendly and they hold wonderful pride events too.

My gf and i had been looking for a new church and after our first visit to St. James we knew it was home. Everyone is so kind, accepting, and loving . It truly is a judge free zone. God preaches a message of love and this church truly executes that message to go every person that walks through their doors. Father Sam cares deeply about his congregation and making everyone feel welcome and important.
