Romans 16: 17-18 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. I was 6 months sober and went thru a period of stress, so ended up at Lifewell. I am about to complete my 90 days, but my 4 month old daughter and I are homeless. I was told last month by somone with the last digits of 5556 to call in February, because January was too far away from my exit date and they would be able to complete an intake then! I wait the entire month, I’ve called others but due to my circumstances I have been sternly instructed not to take opportunities that do not allow you to have your phone as we use it for doctors, lawyer, case workers, therapists etc. So I finally call, one day before February even, and boy I’m glad I didn’t wait even longer thinking I was going to call them because the SAME EXACT woman who told me to call her in a month had no clue who I was and told me they were booked and that’s it! They can’t help (: She gave me some numbers but made sure to tell me that no one really allows phones, but there is women with DCS cases there!! :D oh, well that’s cool. But my DCS case isn’t a literal copy of everyone else’s and my case worker told me I NEED MY PHONE. I left the Roman’s scripture because Bridge of Hope is supposed to lead through bible studies & also have a group of Christian people sponsor you. But then take advantage of the time and naïtivity of homeless mothers. I literally told my case worker at Lifewell I would finally be calling soon. I’m honestly so upset and this should not be able to be just buried in everyone else’s experiences without being changed/addressed. Also picture of my now even more extra homeless daughter, for emotional context.

We can’t out grow God. God is always in front of us giving us hope and new life. I am speaking from a perspective of being a person who is a follower of Jesus and believes that Christ followers are called to walk with one another. We need each other to be a strong community. Bridge to Hope offers the opportunity for growth and new life. As a part of a church that works with B2H it is amazing to see the transformation in families. To hear how they have moved from homelessness to a whole new life. If you are a follower of Jesus or part of a church, check out the many ways you can connect to B2H. I have been so blessed by the relationships formed. The families are gifts from God. They have so much to offer.

There will never be enough words to describe the loving staff and volunteers, the time, the devotion, the dedication, the determination, the selflessness, the transformations, the cycle breaking, the spiritual growth, the independent living skills, the personal transformation of every graduate, the families, and life changing choices that one learns to make through this program that will effect every family for the rest of their lives. But I will say this...as a graduate of this program myself, and having gone through my first 4 months of the program without a sponsored church or church team, it was mighty lonely to the point it was almost defeating. I hope to see many more churches join the Bridge to Hope to help fight homelessness for our youth and give your sponsored family the love and support they may have never had. Don't forget to ask about their needs list :)

You should call the Bridge to Hope to find out criteria for help. I am with a church sponsor team and cannot provide specific case answers. They are open today until 3 pm. Good luck.
We are a grassroots ministry serving homeless single mother with young children. I welcome you to give us a call if you have additional questions. Take care!
yes if ur children are in cps custody u must have ur parental right still intact and if u have kids it can't be no more than two kids under the age of 10. This is a single moms program.
There is a process. She should call 211 for a list of emergency shelters and also call Bridge to Hope to apply for longer term help. It's a great organization.
Mothers and their born or unborn children, YES? Extra clarity, thanks.
