BUYER BEWARE! I bought a kayak lift from this company and it was delivered 1/2021. I'm well versed in DIY projects, but self installation was not great-- instructions were wrong(wrong bolt spacing listed versus the lift itself!), solar panel controller was hooked up backwards(if I didn't catch this, the battery could have exploded-- or at least drained), holes were not pre-drilled as the instructions said, etc. Multiple defects right from the start... Once I got it installed, then began multiple other problems. The remote winch operated randomly on its own, as it's prone to radio interference...I had to add a battery switch to prevent this from happening. Their head engineer joked that I must have aliens nearby... Part of the lift that the winch is connected to also skewed, causing the cable to wind on the winch incorrectly, bouncing, etc. Their head engineer instructed me to tighten up the plates that hold everything up via pressure alone... And the worst of all, is they did NOT provide me with a stainless steel cable! It was a regular steel cable that SNAPPED while I was on the lift(not while operating it-- just standing, as per the design). Thankfully I didn't get hurt, but if it had been in the upper position versus the lower, I could have been seriously injured or even killed. I ended up spending hundreds of dollars more to fix this cable(swage tool, connectors, and SS cable). I can only wonder what's next. Rather than immediately posting this review, however, I contacted the president of the company one last time(I've communicated with them regularly throughout this), and I've received no reply(weeks have gone by) from this man who initially took the order for the lift. No apologies, no offer to make things better in some way, nothing. So here's my review...I hope it saves someone from making a mistake, dealing with this company. And for what it's worth, I also see at least one review below by an employee of this company that I Emailed with... I'm not sure of Google's Review policies, but reviewing your own company and/or employer is definitely unethical. BUYER BEWARE.
