Dr. Zappa is our go to professional over the years. Not only has this facility helped with stubborn wounds, we've learned so much to carry through for a healthier life. Thank you WALKS and Dr. Zappa!

My name is David delgado. I've been a patient of this clinic and Dr Frank zappa for 4 months. I wrote a review on how wonderful this place is in Jan 2019. And I said I would rite as time went on.. well once again im writing to report my wound is finaly closing as we wished for. Well last week i was shocked to witness dr zappa explain my story to a couple of students that were there by his side. And this man did not miss a beat he described my situation and story to the letter. After 4 months this man rememberd my story from the day i walked in on jan 2019 he still rememberd who i was!! . Im 53 years old ive bern to many different doctors for many issues and never have i come across a doctor that rememberd who u are after 30 days. So remember my story . This place from the secratary in front to the nurses in bak . Every day they are wonderfull. Ill be writing more as time goes on . Thank u dr zappa for making me feel safe but most of all. For treating me with respect and respecting my situations.

Having been a patient of the Walks Wound Care Center for the past 3yrs., I've come to learn the staff's willingness to help people command respect and well earned appreciation for what they do. Doctors Zappa, Zomaya, and Zimmerman, not only provide comprehensive treatment of leg wounds and related ailments, they astutely educate a patients on diet, and exercise that may prevent future reoccurrences of veneous insufficiency. Other staff such as Joanna/Coordinator, MA, Jessica, MA, Deysi and Flor of Registration, have the appeasing personalities that allows a stressed patient to relax in preparation of treatments.

Questions & Answers

Why have rotating Students in Wound Care as opposed to regular wound care staff familiar with regular patients?

William Carr | Oct 6, 2019
WALKS Wound Centers | Oct 6, 2019

Mr Carr Patient familiarity and continuity of care is important to us, which is why the treating physicians at WALKS have been with us since inception. The medical students sign up to learn from different doctors at St Anthony Hospital, wound care is one of the more popular rotations and we have 3 medical schools rotating at St Anthony Hospital to accommodate. We do our best to educate the students and residents, while providing excellent, friendly, timely care to our patients WALKS Wound Centers

Mr Carr, In 2011 Dr Zappa brought the idea to the CEO of SAH and negotiated opening WALKS Wound Centers on the 6th floor of the hospital. Thank you for the inquiry. WALKS Wound Centers
