Henry Torres, really? I'm shocked that you'd leave such a review. Me, my wife, and you have had many positive conversations about TX Third Coast MMA, where we met. You had all good things to say including when you were at our daughter's 8th birthday party, who is as small or smaller than your son. You also never mentioned that you took karate in the 80's, curious? I would hope that a parent would recognize that their child was being treated in an excessive violent manner from a grown man's reckless actions before a year's time had transpired instead of figuring it was normal or being under the impression that's just how it is in martial arts, especially if your son was singled out. You've made it apparent, for whatever reason, your review and opinions of TX Third Coast are propaganda and biased. As someone who attends the children's classes at TX Third Coast regularly, and my wife makes every class, we know your review is exaggerated and embellished. I've been in organized athletics for the last 45 years with different coaches, instructors, and trainers. I'm familiar with the importance of practicing technique, mechanics, and training. My daughter has been to two other BJJ gyms, one of which I liked. Now, due to relocation, she goes with her step sister to TX Third Coast. It is an exceptional gym for them. Professor Joe and Jason are loved by the kids and not only do they have fun but they know what's expected of them. The professor's are unique and have different training approaches that work. By the end of class the kids are smiling with their parents because of their sense of accomplishment and hard work. Other days during class the parents are all laughing on the sidelines because the professors are mixing in some fun play with training. Professor Joe has come to us and other parents after class to have a one on one conversation as to his training techniques and specific instructions for our children for that day. We believe in TX Third Coast BJJ and their new facility with large mats, that we travel over thirty minutes from Katy twice a week to get there. Along with good academics we believe that BJJ is the way for me and my wife to be there for our girl's when we're not physically there to protect them. As we all know, there are too many people on this rock that don't respect or appreciate one another and worse. This is a way for our daughters to defend themselves and those who can't. Professor Joe and Jason treat the children and parents with a caring and kind approach. Another thing that I was impressed with was when professor Jason went above and beyond and took time out of his Saturday to appear at our daughters first, and only competition, and sat in both of their corners as their coach when my daughter wasn't even signed up at their gym yet! They are dedicated and genuinely care! If your at a 5 star gym, good for you. Stay and be loyal. If your not, I highly recommend trying TX Third Coast!

Tx 3rd Coast MMA is the best of the best! I cannot express how amazing Professor Joe and Professor Jason are, along with the coaches. My daughters have gained a great deal of experience training here! The kids absolutely adore them! We actually moved from Sugar Land to Katy, and that definitely wasn't even enough for us to switch gyms. We make that 40 minute drive to get here twice a week! Thanks again to the whole TX 3rd Coast MMA team!!! 🙌 🤙

I have been training at TX 3rd Coast MMA for a little over 5 years now and I can not recommend this place enough. The instructors here are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and it reflects on the quality of class they teach and how they treat their students. Professor Joe and Jason have also been able to cultivate a safe and welcoming training environment for people of all ages and experience levels. About a year ago, I enrolled my son into the kids BJJ and Kickboxing classes there and have enjoyed watching my son make new friends and develop as a young martial artists.

I highly recommend TX 3rd Coast MMA to all of my friends and family! I have been taking my son here for over a year and couldn’t be happier with the level of training he is receiving. I really enjoy the family atmosphere of the gym and surrounding my son with good people! My son and I come 4 times a week and attend the BJJ class and the boxing/kickboxing classes and my son LOVES it. Professor Joe and his son, professor Jason, are both phenomenal people and are great instructors. I have trained a bit at the gym as well and loved it during my time training. Unfortunately, due to injuries and life I had to take a break from training, but I cannot wait until I have the time and my body allows me to return. I am so glad that me and my family came across Third Coast MMA and will be putting my daughter in professor Joe and Jason’s school when she comes of age. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants their kids to learn discipline, improve their confidence/self-esteem, and learn how to defend themselves.
