A bunch of lying crooks. People like this are why so many people hate the government. These employees are they definition of incompetent. They make up rules just to be jerks. No way to complain or speak to someone in charge. This location is corrupt.
em haggard
Never get the same answer twice. Everyone there just makes up rules and answers

Not all Texas counties require the same vehicle inspections, some don't require them at all. I can't say that Collin and Denton are the same but your wife's employer should be able to find out. Just a reminder.. you can only get the tags renewed at the Tax Office for the County you live in.
Credit or Debit cards are charged 2.3% of the total transaction as a convenience fee by the processing vendor. There is no additional charge for check or cash. We do not have an ATM in the building.
No, this is not the DMV. Just tax stuff and court stuff.
No, you can't. You must go to a DPS office. There's a new one in Flower Mound. But there are other offices in Carrollton and Lewisville. I believe the one in Denton is no longer doing renewals. Have you checked their website to see if you are eligible to renew online?
No, but you may want to submit a Vehicle Transfer Notification to the state. You can find the form on the state's website. www.txdmv.gov
I am fairly certain that you get passports through the post office, but I could be wrong.
All you need to do is bring in your TX inspection. Most insurance companies do an automatic verification through the state in which you live so you don't really need to bring a copy of your insurance, unless you get it through a small company, in which case I would bring it just to make sure. You don't need your license plates to get a registration sticker either. If this is helpful please hit the thumbs up!
You can do title transfers inside the office that looks like the inside of a bank with anyone behind the counter that is working, after waiting in the non-existent line, that is, at the Denton County tax Office located at 1400 FM 424, Cross Roads, TX 76227.
As long as you transfer the registration at a tax office you don't have to tell anyone, but you should call the company you financed it through to let them know you songs the vehicle and that your transferred the registration. They may want proof.
Call and ask. Otherwise this is the wrong forum to ask questions like this.
It depends on what you are doing, but I would bring everything....except for the kitchen and bathroom sinks and all the silverware! If you ask specific questions you'll get specific answers.
