I worked there during an Outage and turbine repair in April 2001. I was so fascinated on how a power plants actually works! I’m always looking for the “cloud makers” on the horizon!!

They have an annual community day where you can visit and learn, no public tours inside the actual plant or critical systems though.

Withstand the hit of a 747?...NOT!!! I worked as a draftsman for a subcontractor, and way back then l was surprised that it was only designed to take the hit of a LEER JET. This was on a cover sheet of the structural drawings.

Not on site. It will be trespassing. There is a huge sign at the entrance that states it's trespassing.

Yes... if someone decided to shoot a missile into it... of course it will blow up. But if your referring to a simple malfunction, no those people that work there are on point with their safety precautions

Do you have tours? I live in Sanatoga,Pa and the limericks power Plant has big smoke stacks and the plant is very close! I was wondering if you guys do tours?

No public tours are not routinely given. There is a Community night once a year, normally in August- September time frame. It is usually well publicized and will provide insight into various departments, operations and a tour/ demonstration of the simulator. I believe it is also advertised on an LGS Facebook page.
