I normally use my local go to sawmills but needed a slab flattened ASAP so I took an 10/4 7' Red Oak slab and they planed it in 20 minutes. Had a ton of scraps to look thru and Chris was fair, friendly and knowledgeable. I've been building custom furniture and burl art for a decade so I tend to be picky to whom I use for wood. I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

I had the pleasure to visit Hardwood Lumber Co of Dallas Inc last Monday and was pleased with my experience. Being a hobbyist woodworker buying in small quantity, it is always intimidating to show up at a lumber yard for a few board feet purchase. The staff took the time to listen to my need and let me pick up board that were suited for my project. They even got the lift to get to the bottom of a pile of wood that contained the 8/4 white oak that I needed. Furthermore, they even provided with one free cut to help me get the lumber in my small SUV. This is the opposite of the experience I got of the larger lumber yard next door, where they give you 12 foot board when you placed an order for 8ft ones, and charge you five dollar to cut it on top of the excess board feed you didn't needed. Hardwood Lumber Co of Dallas Inc should be the go-to place of every hobbyist in the DFW area. Highly recommended!
