Great people who are willing to work and teach! The service is expensive but I'll be sure to use them again.

The staff and the health aides from Visiting Angels are truly visiting angels. The curtesy and the quality of the care that they give is exemplary. They quickly and efficiently solved my urgent need for assistance. I highly recommend them for anyone who wants the best dependable care for a loved one.

I was the medical POA for a friend with metastatic esophageal cancer. My friend had no family, just a few close friends, none who lived close by. I called visiting Angels to care for my friend around the clock while he was in home hospice. My friend could not accept the fact he had weeks to live; he was understandably anxious. He was also in denial. Hospice services were not as comprehensive s as I had envisioned for the first three weeks. Under these difficult circumstances, the Visiting Angels were there to be the surrogate for "family" to care for my friend. My friend become delusional during this time making care more difficult. Visiting Angels were loyal my friend for a month, always answering the phone directly, no message services with press 1, 2 etc, always providing compassion and excellent service. There was never a shift with a no show. We were in constant communication. When my friend got Covid (likely from me) the Visiting Angels continued to care for him. One care giver came every night shift; there were other repeat care givers during the day. Several got to know my friend. The director in charge of the Chadsford office went above and beyond to advise and at one point came to help a nurse (very early AM) when my friend was not being at all cooperative. What complicated this case further was my friend could not swallow and was taking all nutrition and meds through a feeding tube. Visiting Angels learned the procedures from hospice and assisted my friend with his tube feeds and administration of medications. The Visiting Angels were by my friends side when he died. They were there to wait until another friend came to the house to make funeral arrangements. God Bless the visiting angels, they were a life saver for me at this difficult time. (I myself was receiving from cancer and from Covid at this time.) I am grateful. I could not handled this situation without Visiting Angels. Best, Alison

My mother only needs help for a few hours each day - do you provide short shifts of care?

Visiting Angels | Oct 6, 2019
Visiting Angels | Oct 6, 2019

Visiting Angels can provide care for as little as 2 hours per shift to help seniors who are mostly independent but could use a little help. When a senior loved one starts to show signs of age, they may only need help for a few hours each day. Whether it is in the morning, to get showered, dressed, and fed or in the evening to take medication, have dinner, and get into bed. Our caregivers can assist with all Activities of Daily Living from 2 hours a day to 24 hours a day, depending on your loved one's needs.
