I was placed here by my company as Lompoc and Buellton didn't have enough availability for us on our extended stays. I arrived at close to midnight, and it was promising, however it was short-lived. The first person I met was a younger taller gentleman, he was more than kind. The rest of my stay was less than mediocre hence the stars. I quickly asked to move hotels to anywhere else, as well as my coworkers. Pros: I liked the easy access to day to day things, like the Opera laundromat nearby, or target. The center dining area was nice and interior design was decent. Room keeping is stellar, and friendly. If you are an aviation fan, the occasional experimental or Robinson is cool Cons: Fridges are a joke, food would spoil in a night, across all our rooms. Front desk needs serious retraining on customer relations. Didn't get any calls for my two packages arriving on separate instances. Elevators have to be the slowest and jankiest I have seen, even in the middle of Iraq, I have seen better. Parking... great, if you want to walk across a street and parking lot. you leave for 5 minutes and the main front lot is full. You will have to go out of your way for a gas station nearby. I checked out early to get out of this place, and was immediately greeted with attitude, without even having said a word. Upon asking for a check out, the attitude continued. Upon asking for any form of invoice reflecting my departure, as well as an itemized receipt, I only received more kickback and attitude. I understood and was accepting of the fact that it was prepaid. However it is absurd they put no effort in getting me something to reflect my departure. I have had multiple hotels under the same circumstance generate me anything they could to assist me. I will not be coming back here under any circumstances. I am sure I am not welcome regardless.

Great location as a stopover between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Restaurants and supermarket nearby. Rooms old fashioned but clean. View of the (small) airport of Santa Maria makes it special. Breakfast was not included. Fine for 1 night.
