It runs everyday, 24/7 except at for a 20 min lunch break at 7pm and 8am, or if it's down for maintenance, which rarely happens. You may have to wait a few minutes for them to notice you If you are on the opposite side of the river.If the sign is up saying "cache slough ferry closed" they are talking about the Real McCoy ferry, which is on the other side of the island and breaks down frequently. Hope this helps.
