Even though a few exhibits were closed for changes there was still lots of interesting points to see. The two employees we encountered were knowledgeable. Gift shop had some good books. Cool to see Paul McCartney note he left on his visit.

Many years ago there was a Walsh Brothers Grocers in Joliet. Maybe circa 1930-1940. They were related to me. I recently heard one of the brothers, Thomas?, was robbed and murdered after hours on his way home. Where would I find such information?

Laurie Garland | Oct 6, 2018

Hi Laurie. Are you close enough to Joliet to visit the public library? They likely have microfilm archives for the local newspaper and could also have Yellow Pages phone books from different years and eras.
