I appreciate the goodness in their heart to try and help the community and that they have to use specific grocery stores, However the food they are giving out are all expired. They need to verify the food they are handing out. August 23rd they gave out a gallons of milk that had expired August 15th, salads that had expired and had mold and so on. I understand that families are in need but they also need groceries that are not expired.

First impression is the lovely woman greeter who helps get you registered and makes you comfortable having to ask for food. The volunteers work quickly to provide a cartful of various foods and load your car with a smile And seem to really enjoy helping you. Thank you so much.

I just saw your answer from a previous post that you do not except frozen items.
We are not open on the 2nd Friday of the month, as our staff and volunteers work our Mobile Food Pantry. (9 am - 11 am at First Methodist Church of Hurst) We'll be open again at 10 am on Tuesday. If you need groceries in the meantime, please call 211 or visit www.tafb.org.
We do not have pickup service for clothing and shoes. We can pick up furniture from time to time, but it depends on the staff/volunteers who are available at the time.
Yes all the volunteers are so nice and helpful. :)
You have to live in Euless or Bedford or Hurst to go to this Food Bank. :)
Hi Gina, I am so sorry but we are not open on Saturday. You can try calling 211 to find food pantries open in your area on Saturdays.
Hi Corina. Right now the limit is once per week, but that will be changing in the fall. Feel free to come in if you are in need of groceries.
Hello I was trying to donate to your food pantry. Can you please let me know when can I drop off. Thanks Yolanda
Good morning, Stephanie. We accept shelf-stable items such as canned goods, dry pasta, rice, etc.. We do not accept refrigerated items or frozen items unless they are from food distributors and we can ensure that they were properly frozen/refrigerated prior to donation.
I've only been for food, holiday meals when eligible and occasionally been offered clothing vouchers for the Clothing store in same strip mall (it's connected with Mission Central). Best to call and ask, and if they don't, they DO ALWAYS have a current list to assist you with who may be able to help. Good luck
Good afternoon. Thank you for thinking of us for your donation. Right now we are only doing pickups on certain days and times because of staffing. When were you wanting it to be picked up?
If you donate food to Mission Central, you will receive a receipt noting the amount of your donation. Whether or not that is acceptable for fulfilling your community service requirements is between you and the agency or organization requiring the service.
We primarily serve those who reside in Hurst, Euless, or Bedford, TX. However, if you are homeless, we should be able to provide food for you on your first visit.. Be sure to let our volunteers know your situation (staying with a friend, staying at a motel, or unsheltered) so they can provide groceries that are appropriate for your current access to a kitchen/refrigerator. If you are unsheltered, I would suggest that you contact Tarrant County Hands of Hope (www.hohtx.com). Calling 211 can also connect you with additional resources.
You do have to let them know what your gross income is.
No there closed on the weekend
