I remembered loving it when I visited as a kid so you bet I was stoked to come back as an adult. Was not disappointed! Had a lot of fun viewing the fish and feeding them. As far as staff goes, this is a pretty hands-off place for visitors but we didn’t mind. We were the only visitors and had fun walking around, comparing the fish, and reading the posted info. More people and kids should visit and learn about hatcheries!

I love coming here every time I go to Yosemite. It is so cool to get so close to this many fish, almost like you could touch it. Would definitely recommend making the pit stop and learn more about the nature around you!

There's two free fishing day a year and I'm not sure when they are but you can look it up on Google.
Not along Moccasin creek, due to construction. The Hatchery is not stocking the creek this year.
Hi. I myself am just a visitor there. Excellent question.. one that I also would like to know. Website and/or telephone number would be a great start.
Not sure. When I went, 2018 summer, it was closed.
No cost but it is currently out of action as the result of storm damage last March. They are prijected to be back in operation next Spring.
You mean the creek, I assume. Trout season always opens the last Saturday in April
I believe the only places you don't need a license are like fish farms and ponds that are privately owned. Everywhere else always have a license on you. It's a pretty steep fine and they can take all your gear as evidence.
Go on DFG website and serch planting schedule!
