This park is great for a walk or picnic. You can put in some serious miles if you run around this park. The hills are great for sliding down on top of ice blocks. There are some sports facilities, a lake, playgrounds, and mini amusement park.

In order to reserve space/ picnic areas you would have to contact or go to the city of gilbert to do so.
Yes. You do need a license! But, truthfully, I never see anyone regulate it. But, is it worth it? Your license puts 72 cents of every dollar toward restocking the fish. They are also catch and KEEP fish. At McQueen, Freestone, and Discovery parks.
Dogs on leash are allowed at the park itself! Probably not in the Rec Center though!
Took grandson O'RION too try luck, Freestone. Lovely park..fish agree did'nt want to become dinner.....so only catch & release large bottom feders good old suckers...sure would like to locate a good pan fish or crappie pond.....have no boat....might offer more action for "O" ... thanks for any suggestion...ken I understand Goodyear has great bass club & work with kids however would like a fishing club closer to East valley if possible. Thx again..
Nice small, easy course. Mostly dirt, very little grass, no water. Can play it many different ways.
I think regular pole and bait for the fish hope it helped
Absolutely 👍, one of the best local parks around for back drops
1Bass, 2trout, 5sunfish, 2tilapia , 2catfish and common carp there is a bag limit for all fish
depends on the leagues. I if you check websites I bet you could find MLB.
Yes there is located off the southide of the park behind the train tours
I just looked it up you'll need a license if you're 16 if under the age of 16, you won't need a license, the same restrictions apply as an adult
There is a board in the park which specifies all the details. You can find details here as well- https://www.gilbertaz.gov/departments/parks-and-recreation/parks-facility-and-sport-field-rentals/parks-infomation/community-fishing-program
I believe they rent them out thru Gilbert parks and recreation. Maybe contact them.
Yes, but bread is not good for ducks. It leads to wing deformity, malnutrition, and disease. You CAN and SHOULD feed ducks lettuce, cabbage, cucumber, corn, peas, beans, broccoli, beets, squash, flowers, alfalfa, tomatoes, eggplant, bananas, pineapple, pomegranate seeds, eggs, dry cat or dog food, and rice.
Most definitely!!! You will not be disappointed!!! Play areas for children, train rides, carousel rides, batting cages, fishing, baseball fields and is well kept! My favorite park in Gilbert!!!
No, it's a beautiful park. You could spend all day there. 😊
At my highschool we went there for our gym class. (Charter school) haha and there was an inside basketball court and above it had a running track and also upstairs there was a workout room. There was a reception desk. So that's not there anymore😟 There was ping bong and foosball, tennis rooms inside. I just wanna play ping pong 😭
Nope
I've seen some do so, but I'm not sure if it's really allowed.
Not entirely sure. I was told though that there are both carp and cat bass.
Yes you can with a valid AZ fishing license
Yes, just make sure to reserve a ramada if you want to garuantee a spot. Additionally, a lot of the park is under construction right now. Try brisas park in chandler. Very similar features and includes a splash pad since it's getting hot out.
Everything closes at 9, sometimes earlier.
They didn't mention anything about Ester but it is better for u to check their website.
$4.50, with babies under 12 months riding for free! It's quite fun even for adults.
