*update, 11-16-21* Thriveworks schedulers lie and say that the enrollment and monthly fees are mandatory, when in fact they are not. FEES CAN BE WAIVED AND ARE NOT NECESSARY FOR ACCESS TO THERAPISTS. This information was withheld from me on multiple separate conversations with their call center. This company is predatory and has fraudulent, unethical practices. Stay away. *This review focuses on the company, not the therapists* My therapist is great. However, the “concierge service” that Thriveworks makes you pay $99 upon enrollment and $25 each additional month is absolutely worthless. You are gouged for additional fees above what your insurance pays and get nothing in return. They sell it as an online community and concierge service but it’s really just message boards, which are free on Facebook, and the website has articles you can easily find equivalents for with a Google search. The website is cumbersome and poorly organized. It is unreasonably difficult to schedule appointments. Most clients just email or call their therapists to schedule. You do have the option of receiving reminder calls or texts for appointments, but that’s not worth $29/month in my mind. Hold times are terrible at the call center. Thriveworks as a company embodies the worst aspects of for-profit mental healthcare. **Update - I reached out to Thriveworks at the email they gave in their response to my review and they never responded. This only proves my point: they only want your money. The money they get in copays and from insurance isn't enough, so they gouge for a mandatory concierge service and offer nothing in return.
