By far the best school in the area. Master Cosmo and his instructors really care about the kids their advancements in Kung Fu. My sons self confidence had grown tremendously since he began his journey in Kung Fu. I highly recommend Empty Hand Combat to everyone!

Cosmo was born in a small village in the jungles of India on the border of Myanmar. He grew up in poverty and always wanted to learn Martial Arts to provide protection for the people around him. He has studied in Myanmar, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, India, and other parts of the world. In 1994, he was almost paralyzed when his back was broken and many of his nerves were damaged. One day, while in the hospital, he rededicated his life to Jesus and decided to serve the people of His Kingdom. By God’s grace, many of his broken bones were healed and he now travels around the world fighting for the younger generations and widows. He is taking a stand for Jesus, sharing hope and fighting against drugs, gangs, and violence. He has 40 years of experience, including teaching classes in self-defense and developed specialized training exclusively for women’s self-defense. He has dedicated his time, skills, and resources to mentoring at-risk youth and vulnerable adults.

How often will my child receive their belts?

Empty Hand Combat | Oct 6, 2019
Empty Hand Combat | Oct 6, 2019

The first few belts will be between 45 days and 2 months. Once your child gets to Orange belt, it will take them about 3 months in between, and after Brown Belt Stripe to Black Belt about 5 months in between. The whole program from white to Black Belt is roughly 5 years. As your child becomes higher belts, they will be requested to come and volunteer time to help teach lower belts, clean the dojo, or for help during and after an event. This time will count as extra towards their Black Belt, helping them receive their belt quicker.
