I'm Puerto Rican, which means I know rice and beans well. And let me tell you, eating undercooked rice is not good! When you take a bite and you feel the harshness and the crunchiness of undercooked rice, it ain't a good experience. Also, the seasoning wasn't it for me.

Not impressed. I ordered the big bowl and chips and salsa . I expected homemade chips and salsa. Instead the tortilla chips were the bagged Tostitos chips, and the salsa was the jarred kind. My bowl wasn’t anything special. Mostly just beans and rice with a few toppings thrown on. Not enough cilantro was put on there. So if you want to pay 15 bucks for beans, rice , and bagged chips then come here. The food here is low quality. Would not recommend. Hate that I have to give it 1 star.

The Whole Bowl is an incredibly simple, but delicious concept. They only have one main entree...a bowl made with rice and beans with a short list of toppings. It is a relief to not have to think too hard about what you want. I found the bowl to be incredibly filling, yet in a I feel good about myself kind of way. Their ingredients are all wholesome and they customize your bowl so fast it is hard to believe you are eating something healthy. The tali sauce is absolutely awesome and I'd highly recommend asking for extra. They also have beverages and sides for those wanting to fill out the meal.

I was really surprised by this place. Hipster location, only one item on the menu, and no real place to go- just a stand. But wow, delicious. They are a walk up style place, with nothing but a window to order from, some wooden popsicle stick forks, and a two person table the size of a pizza pan. They offer one "item" with nine parts. Seven of nine are vegan, and I had them with all seven. The large, or Big Bowl, is only $6. It isn't huge, but a decent portion, and mildly filling (I eat a LOT). The only disappointment was the employee. He looked like he hated his life, and had zero enthusiasm or charisma. I wasn't expecting high fives and cartwheels, but he had the same energy level as Windows Speech, with as few words used as possible.

I bought a big bowl, then got an emergency call from family and just threw it in the fridge a couple days ago. What is the shelf life?

I've been making the the sauce at home. I store the leftovers of it in the fridge for a week at a time. It's fine. The rest of it should be as well--rice, beans, cheese, salsa, sour cream, olives

There is no dine-in seating at Whole Bowl, so nothing to worry about there. They have hand sanitizer and contactless payments available for customers, and employees wear masks.
