In my 14th year living in Bozeman after moving here from Atlanta in 2009, PLONK continues to set a very unique bar: It's simultaneously the most metropolitan restaurant and night spot in Bozeman yet it's not the least bit pretentious. Presumably this is a result of great leadership setting the tone for his/her staff, and tonight that came in the form of the warm and engaging Restaurant Manager, Sam Krutsch. For dinner, server Olivia was lovely and tentative while I enjoyed the (flipping amazing) evening special, seared Red Snapper followed by the (incredible) dark chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Are you a wine connoisseur? PLONK is your new personal Mecca. Want to gaze at hot people of all shapes and varieties? Get to PLONK, but be on your best behavior for once. You'll enjoy a meal well beyond what you thought might be reasonable to expect from a Bozeman dining experience, and then you'll have a vague recollection of that Baker cat who was effusive in his Google review praise for what has become your new favorite restaurant. #CHEERS
