Had to call for my mom whose phone went out of service a few days ago. Called from Washington state to schedule her an appointment. Lilly was so friendly and understanding. They are also very prompt and on time. Thank you for your help and understanding. ❤️

You can rarely get through to them when you call. You often get voicemail but then no one calls you back. If you happen to get someone to answer, you are supposed to be able to schedule medical transports a month in advance. I'm not very happy with them today because my aunt was supposed to be scheduled for transportation for her dialysis appointment through May 27 per my call with them on April 29 but they only had her scheduled for May 6 through May 9 so she was not picked up this morning and they are telling me that they can't get her on the schedule until May 20. What are we supposed to do about May 13, May 16 and May 18? The manager and dispatcher are supposed to be looking into it and seeing if there is any way possible they can get her on the schedule for those days but I'm not holding my breath for a return call. I appreciate the lady this morning but this is not what I should be dealing with this morning especially since they were supposed to have her on the schedule for the rest of month anyway. EDIT: They did end up rectifying the issue.

When I was asking the driver yesterday for his office # to give to a friend of mine that has a difficulties walking and wanted to help her get to a senior center facility in Branson, the driver was completely ignored my request and didn’t even bother to give me the business card phone number, that I was asking than. I was shocked and surprised that people that supposed to help others to get to their destination, was rude and dismissive and didn’t even bother to respond back to me. I had to ask him 3 times for his card until I finally got it and was wondered if people like him working in this company that supposed to be helpful and caring, and behaved that way, what kind of service others can expect from them to get? I felt sorry for the person that was in a wile chair and was hesitate to ask for any help after seeing my attempt to get some basic information without any response. I saw that this company also asked for donations from the public. But after experienced the rudeness behaviour of the driver, when they actually get paid, and still can’t be kind with other people, I decide not to even consider donating to this company after that unkind incident that I’ve saw. Definitely not a positive vehicle to get around with with this type of workers that can’t be polite and respectful to others when a simple question had being asked. I’ll not recommend it to my friend after all. I wonder if they takes a class before they started to work there, just to exercise the basic manners that are necessary in dealing with the public. Doesn’t seem like it at all!

Do you mean Springfield, Missouri? Of that is the case, then yes, they do. I believe the price is $10, and only certain days of the week. You can go to their website at www.oatstransit.org for information.
Anybody can, if you have an email or contact number I can give you more info. I drive for the company
I believe so yes, just make sure you call and schedule your appointment like a week in advance.
Call Oats Springfield office
You do not need to be a senior citizen to ride Oats transportation. Sadly you cannot get a same day ride when you call.
They are closed today for Presidents day. They run on Washington's Birthday. If schools are closed to bad weather the buses do not run but if office workers can get to work offices are open
Depends on area. You may call office at 887-9272 for details
OATS is available to anyone.
Yes it does. Medicaid only covers medical appointments..
I know this is a few years late in coming, but if you live in Jasper Co. and she lives on the Jasper Co. side of Joplin, no they won't. Unless you live in Carl Junction or Carthage, that is. The last time I checked, they will do *some* medical and Medicaid/Medicare-funded rides from Joplin to CJ and Carthage and vice versa. Your best bet in Jasper Co. would be either the trolleys or MAPS. Or Uber, Lyft, etc. Not sure about the Newton Co. side of Joplin, but I am trying to find out....
That would be a question for our Oats office in Springfield
Except weekends & Holidays, if schoolbusses run, OATS runs. If school is cancelled because of weather it's too dangerous for our riders.
Or out to eat at a restaurant?
There are coupons that can be purchased, then used for any of the trips.
