If you're a dog person this has got to be the most dog friendly place I've ever been. I went for a short get away from the Las Vegas heat and it didn't disappoint. I enjoyed the layout of the 3rd floor balcony room. It was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the view. The bed is comfy with lots of pillows and the bathroom was clean despite that it has not been updated recently, but that's part of the charm. I definitely recommend this hotel retreat getaway.

Went up here to escape people and go for a hike in cooler temperatures. The hotel was nice. The atmosphere and decor are cool...Needs a little maintenance with paint and grounds keeping...and our room needed a bit more cleaning ( dirt in the corners) but it was a nice room and the Apple TV was great. Ate dinner at the restaurant-it was good. Overall for the price it wasn't bad...nice to get away from the loud casinos and the crowds. Definitely recommend it if you want cooler Temps and a Lodge vibe. We would come back. The staff was friendly.

We went here for a wedding last weekend and it was fantastic. Honestly I don't think I ever would have stayed here if it wasn't for the wedding, but now I might come back! Really nice rooms of all sizes, and decent food, especially breakfast. Alan the bartender is a true professional and made the trip!

While we only came up for lunch, I just wanted to leave a review for the restaurant experience. We were at a conference in Vegas for work and we anted to get out of the city. Drove up to The Retreat for the views and breakfast and they did not disappoint! The staff was so friendly, the views were amazing and the breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend coming up here for a little peace and quiet and we will be back for a longer stay for sure!π₯°

Hi Frank - all our third floor rooms (standard king and double doubles) have balconies. Also, all our king suites on all floors have balconies. We are in a valley, so have mountains on all sides, but many people consider the even-numbered rooms to be the "better" view. Please note we don't have an elevator, so if that is an issue, I strongly recommend one of our king suites on the first floor - they can't be beat!
Yes, you must be 21 to check into every hotel.
No casino bartop gambling though.
The area is not equipped for snowmobiles, ita more sledding, hiking or skiing. I don't think the snow is abundant enough on the surrounding area.
Junior works if you don't mind the lack of elbow room. Booking may have a fire code though.
You can just have dinner there, staying at the resort is not a requirement
No pool or hottub here. They say pool being built, but nothing yet and from a review the only pond around relaxing there w/waterfall was removed out frontπ€¬ Nothing relaxing now. Recommend bolder city hotel with lake views and pool/hottub n free breakfast only 50 bucks and has huge patio. Lake moments away for beach or hiking etc. Hope mt Charleston gets it together so family will want to go again. If going..Stay in a CABIN! Only thing worthy.... there really nice n have huge indoor hottub in each one. Beautiful patio w/views you won't want to leave n cook own food in them.
Pricy. It's eat there or the restaurant/bar up the road that has a real pretty view. You can also order some food from the bar/gambling area inside the resort at Mt Charleston also.
Yes it does
