I’ve contacted this cincinnati location for an immigration legal aid service via email and phone on multiple occasions from November 2021 until now- (January 2022). So far, I haven’t heard any response from anybody representing this organization. According to their website, they offer pro bono immigration legal assistance. No one never return my voicemails and emails. Very disappointing! Poor management! I gave up!

Are you collecting clothes and household items for Ukrainian refugees? Furniture?

Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio welcomes new neighbors. We serve as a partner to help relocate refugees in the Cincinnati area and are ready to welcome Ukrainian refugees. However, we are still waiting on the details from the U.S. government to truly understand what that coordinated response might look like. We are currently still working with 50 Afghan refugees who evacuated Afghanistan following the collapse of the country’s government. The administration created a whole separate pathway for people evacuating from that country. Is it possible the administration could create some pathway like that for Ukrainians? We don’t know yet. The quick process to relocate Afghan refugees isn’t the norm. In fact, the normal process for refugee resettlement can take years to happen. Often refugees will be in a refugee camp and they’ll need to apply through a process to the United Nations.

I have been trying for weeks to make contact with someone who can help me. I met a young woman in another country who wishes to come to the United States to become a productive citizen but has been unsuccessful with obtaining a visa. HELP!

Andra, I have a couple of questions: 1) What number have you been calling? 2) Where are you located in the United States? Please let me know as soon as you can and I will direct you to the correct person or organization. Thanks, Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio
