Jr. seems quite knowledgeable. HOWEVER, he is very pushy and not forthcoming with pricing. I asked 4x for his price/sq foot for leather. When that got me no direct breakdown, I asked for price per sq. yard. He would only quote me total for 6 hides. His price for labor was great. Said he would include foam at no cost, IF he took my furniture now. I told him that was NOT gonna happen today. He brought a couple of booklets with thumbnail-sized swatches. I showed him some samples that I had received from a few other places. He asked me if their prices were on the swatches (his were NOT, btw). It wasn't until I told him the other prices, that I finally got him to tell me his price/sq foot. When I told him I liked the buttery softness of one of the other's samples, and would probably go with it, his demeanor changed. Jr. told me his labor would not be $1,800, but would be $4,200! Wow. How much is their markup on fabric! He also told me the foam would be about $1,500 instead of free, if I did not let him take my sectional with him. I am a seasoned Sales Rep. This very high-pressure made my stomach turn. His labor increased by almost 250%. I had received two other quotes. The average labor is $2,500, whether I use their leather, or not. Jr. told me that if I wasn't using his leather, the price goes up. I explained that I had been open and willing to view and decide on his samples. I quickly and politely thanked him for coming out, told him to drive safely in the rain, and walked him to the door. This is my very first review. What made me write it, is what Jr. did next. I live upstairs in a two-flat. As I walked him to the door of my unit, I explained that all he had to do was pull the exterior door shut behind him, that it would automatically lock. He said, ok, got it. As I returned to my couch, I noticed that I never heard the door close. When I checked, yep, he had left it slightly ajar. Really, Jr? I had this at 2 stars. After venting, and realizing how he jeopardized my safety, I am changing this to 1 star. Kick rocks.
