Overall Amazon is one of the best employer with great pay, opportunities, health insurance and investment options. I worked in this building for almost 2 yrs with highly talented, diverse, and competitive inbound team. I enjoyed working here so much that I picked up almost all the overtime.

You have to call every day to check for available positions. They don't email you with a hire date even though the paper they give you once you leave the new hire event says to wait for an email, you'll be waiting until they automatically withdraw your app. So call.
