I have went here and even signed up for the shelter. It is now 9 months later and I have been on a waiting list to get into this shelter all this time. Wow I have had a caseworker here now on my 2nd one since the first was promoted. I feel as though if a person knows their way around places that offer help you are better off to go it on your own. Sure sign up but don't expect much of anything out of this place. Other than getting stuck on housing lists and about to go to Social Security for replacement social security cards and birth certificates also a few used clothing items from yet another place I had to go I have had no luck accomplishing emergency needs and housing here. So far it has been a complete waste of energy and a whole lot of quarters for the parking meters I didn't have. My only concern for myself and those in need is that we find some people out there that genuinely care and will actually help. A straight shooter that will tell a person the way it actually is. I am not sure why some people even get these jobs let alone the pay that goes with it. I do not recommend wasting your time here.

You need to leave and go to a friends house until Monday. Then go to pike st and get the information about the shelter. The intake is tuesday, however go Monday to get as much information and asked all the questions your May have.

Welcome House does not take used clothing. Be Concerned would be a great place to donate those items.

Welcome House shelter is full and working on a wait list. Also you would need documentation that your dog is a service animal and is up to date all all its shots. There has to be some place closer that could meet your needs. Covington KY is a pretty good distance from Knoxville TN.
I totally get where you are coming from. I am signed up fir section 8 nd have been on the list for a year already... I been through physical mental and verbal abuse from men myself. So i know what your going through. You are not alone
There's a men shelter around the Corner, however welcome house is for "Woman & Kids" only.
It's a shelter, however they accept donations. Call tomorrow Morning!!
Welcome house has shared rooms, yes you do have to be up by 7am, but leaving I'm not for sure.

Welcome house does take families yes but only if there are beds available which unfortunately is not always the case. Best advice, go in on open assessment days to get set up with a case manager. Call and check in daily with them so they can work with the shelter to get you in when there are spots that open up. Or they can also help you potentially get set up in other shelters in the area.
Its a 30 day program and they provide breakfast and dinner but yhey do help u i could never begin to thank them

U have to call welcome house and ask that question? Im a homeless gal in ky, and i had to call welcome house. i got a case manager who put me on the waiting list.
Welcome House will help women. But it has a waiting period. Fairhaven is a place for men, but has intake. The cold shelter on Scott street takes men and women of the street, but full up fast for men. Line up is at 6pm.If below freezing they stay open and let in as many as possible. Hope this helps.
