Great place with good prices and friendly staff. Pretty good selection of books too!

Gotta be the no 1 bookstore in Chicago. You go there, make promises & rules not to go crazy, and still you do, cuz with a selection & prices like these, youd be a fool not to. Just an awesome shop that I hope to return to.

Must avoid at all costs. Supporting this place supports men who treat women and persons of color like second class citizens.

Great bookstore with a big selection and good pricing.

Yes, they're a nonprofit that makes money by selling donated books, for children's literacy workshops and gifting books to teachers and organizations throughout Chicago.
Went there a few days ago. Seems like you'll just need to wear a mask. and the open reading areas are closed
I have some textbooks, does that count?
Its more of a Drop off kinda deal.. buy if there's one near you they might pick up..
Yes, there are different hours during holidaus but each one might be handled differently depending on availability of staff. Best to call first.
Beyond belief. You get to read the books of the altruistic Chicagoans; their collective mind.
They have a great variety! And used books are usually around $4. I bought 5 for $15 the other day. If you like classics there is a great selection! I'd recommend anything by George Eliot or Tolstoy.
You should probably call them to ask about specific books vs ask on google.
You can also use the search feature on their website.
