Had two appointments at the Geneva office it went well. At my last appointment I felt like the doctor was scolding me for not coming in sooner but I refused to go to any doctors offices during the pandemic. At my last appointment I was told I should make an appointment but I didn’t because I wasn’t sure about my work schedule. Fast forward to now and we’re in between insurance so I can’t make an appointment. I received a certified letter signed by Dr. Sungjun J. Hwang informing me that I’m no longer a patient there no one at the eye care center will be available to provide professional services for any reason. The letter is pretty detailed telling me how they’re not going to accept me there anymore. I thought because I didn’t have health insurance coverage I would not bother to go in but they’re pretty much saying we don’t care about you. I saw my primary doctor when needed for over twenty years and not once did I get a letter saying she is refusing to see me because I’m not coming in often. I will share this letter on every social media platform.

Very clean & bright. But whatever you do,do not get Dr. Andolina. He was super rude and arrogant & spent more time trying to talk me out of getting contacts than the actual exam & then just laughed in my face when I told him my glasses prescription is more expensive than most,after he told me that my prescription is super cheap. Made it worse that the ONLY reason I went was to get contacts,would not have gone otherwise.

Extremely disappointed with Dr Hwang. I requested an emergency appointment on a Sunday with the ophthalmologist on call because of a foreign object in my eye since Saturday afternoon. I told him this, but no, he wouldn’t see me—call back Monday. So much for emergency services for current patients.

Called for and appt, said I would pay out of pocket. This receptionist said "if you have health insurance, that we don't accept, we won't see you." Even if I'm self pay. Not providing health insurance info because I'm self-pay is not and option, she said they are "required" to collect this info by running your social security number. Required by who? The government? I immediately made an appt elsewhere and they didn't require any such thing. Heads up people, something's not right.
