Nice outside swimming pool!

Nice quieter smaller y. Friendly staff. Pool is pretty warm and the hot tub is nice. Everything is a little older but clean. Wish the small outdoor pool had better hours...for people who work.

2 years past covid and the Y membership price has gone up and is by far the most expensive gym out there. All while closing at 8pm during the week and 3pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday! Yes 1pm... That's the most ridiculous hours of anything I've ever heard of.

We were members of this YMCA. We loved going there to work out. As well as taking advantage of the discount for camp for our daughter. It's unfortunate they changed the income levels for financial help for membership. As we no longer can afford it. The summer camp is absolutely wonderful. My daughter has been enjoying it for years. I only took a star off because this year the cost has gotten astronomical.

Please visit the branch to submit the application. You will need last year’s tax returns and, if employed, 4 most recent pay stubs. If not employed and receiving benefits, you will need proof of income. Once submitted you will receive an answer within 7-10 days.
Call or walk in to hear the levels/types of membership. You might qualify for financial assistance. Ask the friendly Bayview Y staff member about it.
Yes. With reduced hours. I believe until noon.
Hi Margaret! We offer a variety of programs, including group exercise classes geared specifically to our Active Older Adults. We also have membership options through Medicare advantage plan health insurances. We'd be happy to connect you with our staff or welcome you in for a tour!
Hi James. Suzanne is no longer in that role at our Y but still works here :) Please let us know if you were looking to get in touch with her specifically or if there is someone else we can connect you with to help!
Registration for January & February programs will open December 1.

Can you clarify your question? Bayview is part of the broader YMCA of the USA. If you're asking whether they participate in the AWAY program, where you can use your membership elsewhere for access here, the answer is yes.
Family Plus is $150 per month or $120 with a referral. The membership is valid for two adults and as many children ages 26 and younger living in the same house plus an additional 3rd named adult.
Music should always be family and children friendly. Did you hear something that you consider inappropriate? At the Y we strive to provide quality care in a safe and supportive environment that fosters the physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth of children, while supporting and strengthening families. Feedback like yours helps us accomplish this. If you had heard something inappropriate or would just like to discuss further please call the main desk at 585-671-8414 and ask for Terrence.

Yes we do. You can view the schedule for today at https://rochesterymca.org/bayview/schedules/
It is possible to take part in activities without being a member. It depends on the program, some programs are members only, but majority of them are available for non-members.
Yes we did change the age for Parents Night Out to 2-5 years old. But now Parents Night Out will run on the same nights as Youth Overnights for children 6-12 years old. Youth Overnight includes half-night and full-night options. Essentially Youth Overnight half-nights has replaced Parents Night Out for children 6-12.
The YMCA of Greater Rochester welcomes the following insurance based plans: Silver Sneakers, Silver and Fit, Optum Fitness Advantage and AARP Medicare Supplemental plans. Please call your insurance provider to see if they offer these insurance based wellness plans.
