I visited McKenzie-Childs for the first time for their fall artisan craft festival. Every staff member encountered was friendly and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. The festival itself was not as well organized as we would have liked. The lines at the few food trucks present - I think there were five - were very long, and the employees were clearly overwhelmed. I think more options were needed given the amount of people. There also wasn't enough extra seating areas, and long lines at the few bathrooms on site. This was their first go at this kind of festival, so some problems are to be anticipated, but with how big their barn sale gets, I was surprised by the creature comforts that were missing.

If you are wanting a deal, i would recommend the barn sale, you and a thousand other people. it is fun to make a day of it, but not something you can quickly jump in, check out, and go though.
