Beautiful woods with a pond, nice in winter, need an all wheel drive vehicle to get here if it's wet and the road can be muddy

Questions & Answers

I was wondering is if the public is allowed to fish this pond and are canoes allowed

Yes to both, you just ja e to take the conoe with you when you go. Hope this helped.

Would the trail in Richford be an appropriate place to take a short family hike that would include a 7 year old and a fit senior? How far in is the pond, and would that be a nice spot for a picnic lunch? Thanks!

The pond is almost right at the trail head if I remember correctly. A short hike wouldn't be that strenuous at all. I think there also is a picnic table right at the pond

Is there easy access to the pond?

No you have to park and walk down a grassy and rockey trail. If its rained its very muddy.
