The hospitality was like no other, John and Marcia were amazing. The breakfast was very delicious and served in a very relaxing atmosphere. With breath-taking views and close to Greenville and all the attractions we needed to get to. This B and B is definitely top on our list to revisit and we highly recommend it to anyone trying to get away for a little R and R.

When we travel, we like to make sure we support local small business. We decided to lodge somewhere noncorporate and had the opportunity to stay at the Birds Nest loft over Memorial Day weekend. It was a perfect getaway. The scenery is beautiful and the loft was very comfortable and cozy. John and Marcia are very gracious and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was impeccable. Thank you for your kind hospitality. We will be sure to visit again.

Everything abut our stay at Thistlewood Down Inn was perfect! We stayed in the "birds nest" which provided great comfort and privacy, and so many other amenities: exceptional cleanliness, super-comfortable king size bed, sitting and dining areas, modern bathroom, 360 degree views of the surrounding fields and mountains, a porch for enjoying a glass of wine and the sunset, delicious breakfasts, and interesting conversation with our wonderful hosts, John and Marsha. It was a great staging area for our local explorations. We look forward to returning!

Over Memorial Day weekend I was fortunate to stay in the La Tour Eiffel room for a few nights and to meet and talk over breakfast with Marcia and John. The Inn at Thistlewood Down is tucked away in the midst of beautiful hills and an adjacent lake, but it's also very convenient to the lively and charming cities of Greenville and Traveler's Rest. My room was beautiful -- the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom, with it's tub, rain shower, and the best handmade soap I've ever used, felt super luxurious. I've also stayed at quite a few B&B's as a traveler, both domestically and internationally, and I've never experienced such a great breakfast -- on different mornings I was treated to fresh fruit, eggs, popovers, and pumpkin pancakes, each with a side of snuggles from Nutmeg, John and Marcia's sweetheart Boxer pup. I hope to visit again and recommend the inn to solo travelers, couples, etc. seeking a home away from home!
