Motel 6 Costa Mesa, CA - Newport Beach

Stayed here for three days with my wife and kids. Room smelled like weed even though it was a non smoking room.(seemed to be coming from the bathroom vent.) the sheets didn’t seem fresh when we got there. The shower has mineral build up everywhere. I get that it’s a motel 6 but I’ve stayed in other motel 6s that are way better maintained. If you’re desperate on a budget, this isn’t a bad choice. But if it’s a family vacation, I’d definitely look elsewhere.

The room was an unpretentious human cage and the bathroom was clean. There is a patch Bay breakout on the television so you can plug your computer. Front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. ....

Decent hotel, however management is extremely unreachable. Ran into some issues but Stacy did an excellent job helping me out and gave me some clarity. She went above and beyond and actually cared about how I felt, which nowadays is very rare. If it wasn’t for her I’d give the hotel way less stars!!

We usually stay at this motel when we come to run the Orange County half marathon and marathon races! It is close to the start line pick up area and the race finish area which are at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The motel is clean and the rooms nice. Thanks, Motel 6. You left the light on for us! :-)
